Modern Argeles-Sur-Mer

The seaside resort goes back to 1860, at the time of the plantation of the first pine forests. Thereafter, the municipality made all the efforts necessary to develop the modern town of way, creating in turn the infrastructures and the activities related to tourism. The first camp-site, the camp-site Bouix (which always exists), was created in 1953 close to the beach. At that time there was nothing at this place, if they are not wild campers.
